Summer Holiday Club
Whitwell Parish Council's Holiday Club is an Ofsted registered provision held for three weeks during the school Summer Holiday, with Holiday Club Staff being employed by Whitwell Parish Council.
The Parish Council hires Whitwell Primary School, where the Holiday Club will is held.
The Summer Holiday Club will again be held in 2026 at Whitwell Primary School, for three weeks from 27 July – 14 August.
It starts at 9.30 am and finishes at 3.00 pm each day. There will be a selection of arts and crafts, sport and play activities along with time to build dens, beat the staff at a game of bench ball and take part in house competitions and the talent show.
There will be a role-play area for all children which will include new play equipment.
The cost of the Holiday Club is £10 per day. Children living within the Whitwell Parish benefit from a reduced rate of £6 per day. This concession is due to Whitwell Parish Council subsidising the Holiday clubs. This charge is mostly spent on refreshments (fruit and squash), art and craft materials and games.
If you pay for childcare while you go to work, Universal Credit may pay some of your childcare costs. See the Government website for further details Universal Credit childcare costs – GOV.UK
You will need our Ofsted registration number, which is 207281.
