VE DAY 80 – HOW THE NATION WILL REMEMBER FALLEN HEROES AND CELEBRATE THE PEACE AFTER SIX YEARS OF WAR on 8th MAY 2025

The flag will be raised at 9.00 am in The Square and the Parish Beacon will be lit at 9.30 pm on the Tunnel Top, Tarmac land. Everyone Welcome to attend. The church bells will ring out at 6:30 PM. This is a nationwide event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe.

Whitwell Parish Council Summer Club

Whitwell Parish Council Summer Club is an Ofsted registered provision funded and staffed by Whitwell Parish Council. The Council rents Whitwell Primary School to hold the Club for three weeks.

The Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting (not a Parish Council Meeting but a Meeting of the Parish) will be held on Wednesday 22 April 2026 at 7.00 pm in the Meeting Room, Whitwell Community Centre. All Whitwell Parishioners are welcome to attend.
